Hard to believe 2008 is almost over... Seems like I blinked and it is done. It has been an up and down year... I got hired Jan 1st to my first youth pastorate, We celebrated Dory's 21st birthday and my 25th and mom's well I won't go there but it was a cool one  We celebrated a year of dating in march, We got engagged in June, We have seen some of our youth group kids grow leaps and bounds and others drop off the planet, We braved 18 inches of snow to visit the fam in MI, Dad had his gull bladder out with some minor complications (as he says, he is the one who keeps those one to a billion stats alive because he is always the one), On Dory's side of the family we added Rowan and Jakeob (not twins, on different sides of her family) who are both soooo cute, Our friends the Drewitts also had baby Gracie who has stolen my heart and I am sure there were many others too... I got to preach the month of June which did leaps and bounds for me as a public speaker, We did our first ever youth out reach event which had a 50' bananna split, I am sure much more has happened, but those are some highlights...

I am looking forward to 2009 - I get married 03.06.09!!!!!! A good friend of Dory and I's is moving down Jan 6, and I am sure much more will happen!!!!!

How was your year, what are you looking forward to in '09???

Ok so alot has happened since my last post... We set the date 03/06/09 here in Clearwater... There are still a few details to come together, but the planning is coming together... I have had the opportunity to preach several times which has been really cool - www.lakeviewbc.info - in the media section you can listen to any of them... so nothing too exciting has happened, but life has just been crazy busy...

Wow... so much has happened in the past couple of weeks... We had our S.T.O.R.M. and a kid trusted Christ, a minor revival broke out and we had a blast with a 50 foot banana split... Andy Anderson did an awesome job sharing the gospel and guiding me through leading my first big event.

I made the second most important decision of my life... Trusting in Christ would be the most, the third was coming on staff at Lakeview... oh for that second one - I am getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked Dory to marry me and she said yes! So here's the story - We have had a crazy few weeks, so I suggested letting me plan a date night for friday... So I came to pick her up and had a chest with quotes about love... The night started with a picture and I informed her we would document the entire evening with pictures (not too weird cuz we do crazy stuff like that from time to time)... Then she got a few quotes from her chest. We went to dinner where I presented her with a hang man puzzle... She solved it and it made no sense to her at the time, but once we got back to the car she got an envelope that correlated with the hang man clue as well as a few more quotes... The clue took us to a basketball court where she had to shoot a free throw. After making a free throw she was given 10 shots and for each one made she got a kiss. After that she was given some more quotes and another envelope. This puzzle was a word scramble with the letters Romantic sunset at the beach all scrambled. She solved that and we headed to the beach... My friend Z and his girlfriend and girlfriends sister went ahead and had a blanket set up with champagne, chocolate strawberries, candles, and a rose in a vase... As we were walking on the beach Dory saw it and said, "Aww someone's getting engaged" (not knowing it was her!!!!!!!!) I started to head for it and she tried to pull me away saying that we couldn't go over there because who ever's it was was going to be coming soon... I told her it was for us and she was baffled... She thought Z and Alice were going to be joining us, but at that point I pulled the ring out (so gracefully I might add - insert eye roll) and proposed as the sun was setting. It was a beautiful surprise!!!!!

Needless to say I am so pumped!!!! Plans to come... Check out the video at my myspace - www.myspace.com/jordanheadlee

Time flies... Not too much has happened though... I am preaching June 8th and 22nd while Pastor Ken is on sabattical and looking forward to that. I can't believe Jill and Jeremy's wedding is right around the corner. Seems like we have been planning that reunion since fall... I am so excited to see my friends again. I have made a few friends down here, but not as good as my impact boys (no one will ever replace them...). Youth Group is going well. I was pumped to have 9 kids + 3 visitors on wednesday!!! I am learning so much in my first 6 months as a youth pastor. I am still waiting to come on full time. I am spreading thin working at the bank and the church. I would love to be able to focus all my attention on church stuff and kids. In other news I got rear ended two weeks ago. I was the first car, another car was hit and pushed into me. No dammage to anyone involved and my car made out with no dammage! The other two were banged up a little. I had an infection in my toe, which when I was rear ended I was on my way back to work from the dr... but no worries the infection is cleared up! no known cause - kinda like my elbow in high school... It swelled up for no reason and made me miss a soccer game (the only game I missed in 3 seasons my sr year...) well nothing else knew really. Life is Good! What is up with y'all?
